The term “Snagging” refers to the repair of any minor defects which might be obvious from a careful inspection of your new home.
This process refers to minor defects such as cracks in the paint work, problems affecting flooring or boilers or door and window hinges; that sort of thing - Look out for dampness or condensation.
Be sure to get someone with building construction experience to advise you so that your list is complete. GRP will then arrange for the contractor to repair all “snags”.
There is a small window of opportunity to deal with snags, any more substantial defects which may arise in a flat during the first 6 years after completion can be the subject of a legal claim. However, it is often the case that defects can be identified early on and so take the snagging process very seriously!
